Founded

What would become Issaquah Lumber was part of Monohan Mill, which operated on Lake Sammamish.
1925

Closure

The Great Depression closes the mill.
1940

Issaquah Cedar and Lumber

Issaquah Cedar & Lumber moves to its current location along Lake Sammamish Boulevard in Issaquah.
2023
1889

Fire

A devastating fire burned down the first mill and the entire town of Monohan. A smaller mill on the same site was operational until 1928.
1929-1933

Issaquah Lumber Company

The small mill is purchased and becomes the Issaquah Lumber Company. Unfortunately another fire in 1944 destroys the small mill.
1953

Issaquah Lumber

Issaquah Cedar & Lumber changes its name to Issaquah Lumber to better represent the growing wood industry, adding premium modified wood products and accessories.
