Issaquah Cedar & Lumber is proud to announce a new line (new to us)of decking. Red Balau is a selectively logged hardwood from the Asia Pacific region that is very similar looking to Philippine Mahogany only twice as hard and considerably more durable. It is available in 1×4 and 1×6 with an 8-18′ talley, at a considerably lower cost than Iron Wood. It can be stained or left to silver. Stop by to see our display and talk to us about pricing.

Four Pacific Northwest projects show how design intent, climate, maintenance, installation, and long-term performance influence material choices.
Years ago, when a client asked where a wood product came from, “from our supplier” was usually enough. In the last five or more years, that answer doesn’t cut it.
